The Royal Mail share offer unleashed flotation fever among investors, leaving some with less than they wanted or none at all, and many were attracted by the lure of a bumper dividend of 6 per cent or higher.

But there are plenty of other UK stocks that could grow your wealth or deliver solid income from their dividends. The Royal Mail stock has already done well in early conditional trading, rising to p. Upstream, the company produces, generates, processes, trades and stores energy.

The group has a strong balance sheet, and remains committed to using its free cash flow to support increasing dividends, undertake share repurchases or, where returns are more attractive, reinvest in the business, including bolt-on acquisitions.

Europe, Hong Kong, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa, North America and Latin America. Its strong retail banking operations, especially in Asia, allow it to gather cheap deposits to fund lending across the group.

The problems encountered during the financial crisis have largely been resolved, with businesses exited or sold, and the quality of assets significantly improved. Killik has highlighted ten top dividends. The group has undertaken a programme of business simplification and operational improvement, with a focus on asset sales, portfolio upgrading and cash flow generation.

We expect Shell to increase its dividend by 5 per cent this year, in line with its policy to grow the payout in line with its view of the underlying business earnings and cash flow. Unilever has a strong balance sheet, providing the flexibility to invest in the organic growth of the business, make bolt-on acquisitions and pay a progressive dividend.

Given its strong free cash flow generation, Vodafone intends to increase its dividend by 8 per cent in and to grow the payout annually thereafter.
